Volunteering, either formally or informally, can make a huge difference to someone else during COVID-19, but it is important that you look after yourself too. The Guidance for Volunteers Wellbeing by Cork Kerry Mental Health Service can be a useful guide to help you to manage yourself and your responses to others whilst volunteering locally as part of your community response and in solidarity with Ireland’s #CommunityCall.
If you are concerned about your own wellbeing or of a person whom you have been in contact with during the course of volunteering please do reach out, talk to a friend, a member of the team within which you Volunteer and feel free to ask a member of the Kerry Volunteer Centre team for guidance. Your key contact is: Geraldine O Sullivan, and you can email her on geraldine@volunteerkerry.ie
