Geraldine O Sullivan: Manager
Geraldine joined Kerry Volunteer Centre in 2004. She is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Kerry Volunteer Centre’s strategic plans and ensuring that it is an effective and efficient organisation. Geraldine acts as the primary spokesperson for the organisation and represents Kerry Volunteer Centre on a number of local, national and public fora. She played a significant role in developing the infrastructure for volunteering in Ireland since 2005 and serves as a judge on Ireland’s Good Governance Awards since its inception in 2016. Linda McCarthy: Placement Officer.
Linda joined Kerry Volunteer Centre in 2005, she is responsible for the development, oversight, delivery and the continuous quality development of the Placement Service. Her role includes registering Volunteer Involving Organisations, guiding VIOs capacity to recruit and manage volunteers, empowering them to develop and register a range of quality volunteer opportunities for volunteers to pursue and supporting VIOs as their volunteer engagement needs require. Lisa Newman: Engagement Officer
Lisa joined Kerry Volunteer Centre in 2021, her role serves to develop and strengthen pathways, both virtual and in person, for the public to engage in local volunteering, to arrange events that contribute to the recognition and wellbeing of local volunteers and staff of VIOs. Lisa coordinates the development of volunteer engagement initiatives plus resources and the delivery of information campaigns aimed specifically to enable people from underrepresented and marginalised communities to volunteer. Margaret Lynch: Information Officer.
Margaret joined Kerry Volunteer Centre in 2015, her role focuses’ on curating Kerry Volunteer Centre’s social media platforms to inspire, celebrate and value volunteering in Kerry. Her role promotes VIOs recruitment campaigns, the recognition and impacts of local volunteers. It serves to enhance the Volunteer Centre’s relationships with service users, volunteer wellbeing, awareness of community based events, campaigns such as National Volunteering Week, local plus national volunteer awards. Claire Yildiz: Volunteer Engagement Worker
Claire joined Kerry Volunteer Centre in 2025 and is a member of the Placement Team focusing on supporting Volunteers and members of the public interested in volunteering. Claire’s role involves providing an empowering and supportive brokerage services for volunteers so as to ensure that their volunteering experience is supported and their registration is effective in activating their referral to and placement with volunteer opportunities.
