Kerry Volunteer Centre is delighted to endorse and promote the Kerry Garda Division Youth Achievement awards 2014 in association with Lee Strand Milk. The awards are unique to Kerry and we believe that they provide a very special platform to value young people and to nurture youth volunteering within our county.
The awards celebrate the volunteering efforts of young people in Kerry, between the ages of 14 years and 19 years. Anyone can nominate a young person, a family member, friend, school, local community organisation or voluntary group. All you need to do is complete the nomination form and return it to The Juvenile Liaison Office, Garda Station, Tralee, before 12 noon on Friday, 12th December, 2014. Hard copies of the nomination forms are also available from Kerry Volunteer Centre.
At Kerry Volunteer Centre we believe that it is essential that the youth of Kerry are enabled to become active in their local communities. We work to support and enable young people to volunteering throughout Kerry and feel that it is equally important that their efforts are in turn acknowledged, celebrated and honoured publically. As such we fully endorse the Kerry Garda Division Youth Achievement awards 2014 in association with Lee Strand Milk as we understand that the Awards provide a perfect opportunity for communities, families and voluntary groups all over Kerry to celebrate, value and nurture young people’s volunteering efforts.
Awards will be considered for nominated young people, who, through their volunteering efforts have made their community a better place to live. The young person must live in Kerry and their community activities must have taken place within the county. Do note that nominations are confined to individual young people and not youth groups. The Kerry Garda Division Youth Achievement awards 2014 in association with Lee Strand Milk will be presented at an awards ceremony at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Tralee on Friday, 16th January, 2015.
