Kerry Volunteer Centre wishes to advise that offical confirmation has just been received from the Department of Justice and Equality that commencement orders for the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016 have been signed and that The Act will commence tomorrow on the 29th April 2016.

We are delighted to let you know that Sherry Perreault, Head of Lobbying Regulation in Ireland,has accepted Kerry Volunteer Centre’s invitation to deliver a briefing seminar on the Lobbying Act in Kerry on Thursday 18th February at 11.30am until 1pm at the Church of the Resurrection Parish Centre.
It is important that volunteers have positive volunteering experiences and that volunteer involving organisations are supported to provide such positive local volunteering experiences. As such we are delighted to let you know that as part the schedule of events for National Volunteering Week 2017, Kerry Volunteer Centre has today launched an innovative Volunteer Management Training Program for Kerry to provide a local and free training platform for charities, community groups, volunteer involving organisations and volunteers to become skilled in Volunteer Management.
Suicide is hard to understand. Most of us hope that it never reaches their door, yet, it reaches so many of our doors on a weekly basis. 2012 statistically was the worst year on record with 32 suicides in Kerry.
